British Airways toasts good wines

Johannesburg – 9 June 2008. British Airways operated by Comair Limited is proud to announce that the winner of its Best Shiraz trophy is the Eagles’ Nest Shiraz 2006.

The coveted trophy was awarded at the annual Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show at the spectacular Vineyard Hotel in Cape Town recently.

Stuart Cochrane the airline’s Executive Manager of Sales, Marketing and Communications says, “I’m very proud to associate our premium brand with this sterling wine and congratulations to the winemakers for producing this vintage.”

All the wines served on board British Airways are South African wines and the airline sources wines for its onboard cellar from the shows’ award winning wines with various bottles selected exclusively for both Club (business) and Traveller (economy class).

Adds Cochrane, “Sourcing and offering quality wines to our discerning customers is just one of the many aspects of the fantastic service that we offer on British Airways.”

The airline has been associated with the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show for 4 years.
