Comair Limited can look back with pride over five decades of aviation, from its humble beginnings in the Western Desert during World War II, to 1996 when Comair celebrated its 50th anniversary of service in the aviation industry.
In October 1996 Comair entered into a franchise agreement with British Airways and became known as British Airways Comair. Comair Limited, however, remains a South African controlled company and in 1998 listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
In July 2001 the South African travel market was changed forever with the birth of kulula.com. This low cost carrier has brought a brand new era of affordable travel, with low fares, a single cabin, and an easy online booking service. kulula.com also offer affordable car rental and accommodation to passengers traveling with the airline.
Comair Limited remains the holding company, operating as British Airways Domestic and Regional and kulula.com.
